Believe it or not....

Assalamualaikum....

I just couldn't believe that today is the day fated for me to meet Kak Liza...

I felt so honoured because Kak Liza came to visit me this morning. It was not planned at all. I buzzed her this morning telling that I was wishing that I could meet her at the Pasar Tani yesterday morning. But how could I have met her when I have not even seen her face! Kak Liza then immediately put her photo onto the Avatar and I immediately recognized her...Oh...ini dia kak Liza yang terror masak tu. I should have known!


I have met Kak Liza on a few occasions. The one I really remembered was when Angah went to the camping held by Sek. Agama Tengku Mizan. We were talking at the school for a good ten minutes to pass the time while waiting to enroll the kids for the camping. We did introduced ourselves and that was it. Dah tua2 ni after a while you tend to forget the names of the people that you have met! And I could not have known that this is the ever so popular kak Liza. The next occassion was when we went for Tarawikh prayers last Ramadhan. Kak Liza was praying at the next row near me. We did say "Hi"and smiled to each other. And that was it.


I was soooo very happy that we could be friends. Lepas ni jangan terperanjat kalau maklang pandai masak! Ha..ha...Seronok berbual dengan Kak Liza. It was like we have been friends for so long. Maybe because we have the same interest. We talked mostly on the types of food that Kak liza cooks and we did change a few recipes. Of course mine is nowhere compared to hers. Malu aje, kasi recipe to people who already has her recipes published!. She did give me some tips on how to cook kueh talam. Wah..ini sudah bagus....

Maklang jamu Kak liza with the Roti Jala and Daging masak kari and also the Popia Vietnam and karipap. ( Malu again!).

Inilah curry daging. Masak terkocoh terkacah sebab takut tamu dah tiba, tak ada apa nak jamu..
Roti jala...gambar ni Kak Liza yang ambik. Cantek pun. Tapi rasanya kena beli camera baru kot. Supaya boleh dapat cantek macam kak Liza punya!
Seronok berbual sampai we lost track of the time.

I did show(show-off la ni ..ha..ha..to :)) Kak Liza a few of my embroideries. Not only the newly acquired ribbon embroidery but also all the sulams on the telekongs and the tudungs! It was a very enjoyable meet.( LJ your telekongs dah nak siap...)

My lollies...pop...Baru nak disiapkan. Kalau tekun, InsyaAllah by tonite can keep first before jahit jadi cushion.
This is the first of the 2. Ada ribbon kat batang tu tak jahit lagi...


Kak Liza gave me a copy of her recipe book and to be 'sopan', I gave her some of the cili padi kat belakang rumah. Alhamdulillah ada jugak nak kasi kak Liza, or she would have gone home empty handed. Kalau dah rancang2 nak jumpa, bolehlah maklang prepare.(Thank you to the pokok cili api!. You have definitely saved me from embarassment!)

Then before leaving, Kak Liza ajar camana nak ambik gambar cantek. Tengok aje fotopages kak liza, gambar2 makanan sungguh menyelerakan. Mine? Hampeh...tak cantek langsung! Then kak Liza ada take some photos on the pokok2 kat rumah ni...saje je....nanti mintak Kak Liza e-mail gambar2 tu eh...


Sat lagi kekasih hati sampai from Rompin and Insyaallah, kami nak pergi makan ikan bakar kat KualaKerteh malam ni nak celebrate birthday Along...care to join anyone????


Terimakseh again kat Kak Liza, ada masa kita jumpa lagi and kalau masak sedap2 jangan lupa maklang kat sini. Kalau tak dapat nak hantar, call aje, kami pergi menempek kat rumah akak....tak malu betul I ni...gurau kak, don't take it seriously....
