Jalan2, shopping2 and makan2

Assalamualaikum...

Semalam best...Kami ke KT , ke rumah Wan Pari. Lama dah tak kesana. Tapi pagi semalam sempat ke pasar tani. Beli ikan, ayam, udang dan ketam. Yes..ketam, nanti boleh masak Chilli crab. Maklang suka ni. Version Abang Abu dan Kak Eton yang ada kedai jual makanan seafood dulu2. Abu Hurairah nama dia. Now kedai tu dah tak ada...

After pasar, balik and then siap2 ke ruma Mak de. We thought they weren't home. Sebab the mangga was at the lock. But Cik Abang called and rupa2nya ada. We brought some muffins that I have made the nite before. We were there about an hour and then left for Dungun nak tempah baju. Wah..the tailoring cost dah naik from RM15 to RM 16 and with piping from RM15 to RM 18. Reasonable lagi. So, ambik baju Angah and send a few of Maya's for baju Raya and ada 2 baju sekolah! And as usual, some for myself. And masa belek2 tu terpikat dengan one material, so tambahasatu lagi koleksi. Warna and rupa almost the same as my previous baju, tapi that baju dah lusoh sangat. I love that baju and its material. Tak dapat yang sama, lebihkurang pun jadiklaa...

Then we started off to KT. After driving for about 20 mins, i took the wheel. Abang just could not open his eyes. After changing seats, terus2 dia lena. Berkeruh lagi...Hakim kata...Mak , Abah macam rimau! So, I drove all the way to KT. Stopped over at CIMB bank teller , ambik duit and Cik Abang dropped me off at Pasar Payang while he had his Friday Prayers at a nearby mosque.

First thing first, I went to look for some batek for my officemate, Kak Arni. She wanted a piece of batek material for Aishah ( mentioned about her in my previous N3kan). Stopped at one shop selling batek ( i guess all the shop sells batek!). Hakim saw that water bubbles. Alaaah..that air sabun in the container and when your blow the stick which was dipped in the container ( bentuk power rangers character tu) and you blow the water it becomes bubbles. Bought it for RM2.oo. So, with what he has in his hands, he was contented and happy, so it was quite easy to manage him.

Kejap aje, I found the material I liked and it costs about RM14o. New batik design. I thot of buying one of the batek Chiffon, but the price was like RM250 or so...so, tak jadiklaa..after all the batek which I bought in Jakarta masih tak berjahit lagi, and I pun seldom wear the batek that I already have in the wardrobe. I bought a piece of kain pelikat for anakanda tercinta. A short one for boys. Tanya if ada kain batik for girls tapi tak jumpa.

There weren't many shops opened since it was a Friday. Tapi we jalan2 ronda2 around the pasar payang. Punyalah panas. Pusing2 and I saw, acuan kuih cara. I actually have one in the house tapi tak tau letak kat mana. I bought the one yang has flower mould instead of the oval one. I nikan minah bunga. So, now, ada resepi dalam kelapa which has be donelah ni. When? I don't know and probably will use maktok's resepi. Tengoklah nanti.

After that, jalan2 lagi. Everything has to be done fast sebab Solat Jumaat siap in an hour. Jumpa jugak another kaftan. Minat. Bought it for RM 20. I like the design and colour ( sebenarnya dah kirim kat Wan Pari a week ago, and dia dah belikan 2 lai!). Then walked on and stopped kat one shop selling a lot of Wind Chime yang made of buluh! Apalagi...I fell in love with one big one, as tall as Angah. Bargained the price and Wallaaa..it was a good one and immediately bought one. Belikan jugak one for Wan PAri and also bought one Sponge Bob for Maya's birthday. By then, Cik Abang has already called me twice. Nak ambik kat kat mana. (Nasib baik dia kasi grace period of about 10 mins..tu yang sayang tu...Cik Abang ni kalau maklang nak shopping, biasanya Ok aje...TQ for being so patient!). Biasalah when pusing kat Pasar Payang, macam kat Pasar Khadijah in KB, you tend to get lost. Once, I was out of the place, called Cik Abang, and he picked us up. The place was totally opposite from where he dropped us off! Senang hati with his water balloons..

Lepas tu we headed to Wan Pari's and Tok Uncle's place at Batu Rakit. Half an hour away from KT. On the way, we saw a mosque, still under construction. Cantek sangat. Tok Uncle said, they call it Masjid Crystal. Cantek sangat.

When we reached Wan Pari's place, lapar dah sangat. Dah pukul 3 lah katakan and Wan Pari served us Nasi Ambang ( Pronounced as Ambeng , with and 'e' tanda). Sedap gilerrr...and makan sampai the stomach just could not accept anymore. Mana tak nya one bungkus ( bungkus in daun pisang pulak tu!)is so very big and full of lauk pauk. It was so yummylicious...The last time we had this was like a year ago. You cannot find anything better than this. Wan Pari's cooking..is sooooooooo good. I wish I have all her good experties at cooking!... The so yummylicious Nasi Ambang

Lepas makan, Cik Abang terbongkang. Still feeling tired after KL trip or sebab perut terlalu kenyang. Maklang was hooked up on the PC, trying to type a few recipes for the Nasi Ambang while Wan Pari dictated to me. ( Recipe wll be published when dah siap. At the moment baru mee Ambeng aje dah published!)
And for tea we had this. I took a piece but Cik Abang could not take anymore. Stomach dah full sangat. Sedaaap pulut serunding ni...


We left the place at around 6:20pm. Banyak kereta and we realized that we could not reach Kerteh in time for Maghrib prayers, so we stopped at a masjid at Jambu Bongkok. Then we moved on and reached Kerteh almost 9:00pm.

Seronok sangat pergi jalan2, shopping2 and makan2.

The best thing of all was when I receive an sms from Atok at 3:38 am kot, saying.."Emak bli lima belai silk koton cantik2 abis duit sembilan ratus." Bila maklang baca Subuh tadi , I smiled...Laaa..ingat sms apalah tadi. We were waiting to receive a call ke sms ke, nak tau if everything is OK, rupa2nya Atok hantar sms, pasal Wan pi shopping. Apa2laa...sihatlah tu, sebab tu boleh shop sampai cam tu!

Today will be a busy day for us. Cik Abang, Angah and Maya dah keluar to join the school's Walkathon. At 2:00pm semua akan ke padang sekolah Hakim, ada sukan tahunan. Along pulak agaknya sibuk preparing for her Arab paper besok..
